MUMBAI: Actor director Nandita Das has been appointed as the chairperson of Children Film Society of India (CFSI).
The tenure of her appointment will be for a period of three years or until further orders whichever is earlier.
Das steps into the shoes of actress and social activist Nafisa Ali. However, she resigned from the post earlier this year.
Das had acted in films like Deepa Mehta’s Fire and Water. Also to her credit are Bawander and Amaar Bhuvan. She made her directorial debut last year with Firaaq, which was based on the aftermath of the Gujarat riots.
