Hrithik Roshan gears up for release of Anurag Basu’s Kites

MUMBAI: Hrithik Roshan has been away from the limelight for some time now. The actor, who has had limited interaction with the media, is now slowly coming out of his cocoon and all this is because his home production, Kites is readying for release.

Hrithik recently performed at the annual Rajiv Gandhi Awards after a hiatus of three years. Just a few days prior to that the actor was a guest for Farah Khan’s chat show, Tere Mere Beach Mein, where he spoke at length about how he overcame his inadequacies to rise to become a superstar.

He was also part of the press conference that announced the show to the media. A close aide of the actor said, "Kites is a big film for Hrithik. It will also launch his Hollywood career and Hrithik is going to go all out to promote himself and the film. This is just the beginning. In fact Rakesh Roshan is expected to fly to Los Angeles to show the final print to Hollywood distributors by the end of September."

Hrithik has only been seen at award ceremonies all of this year where he has bagged almost all the awards for the best actor in a leading role for Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodhaa Akbar. He was also recuperating from an injured knee that has kept him out of action for some time now. But all that is in the past and one can expect a Hrithik media blitz in the times to come. The actor is also busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish where he stars opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
