Mahadev Productions plans new show, films


    MUMBAI: Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kissen, who is also a minority stake holder in Mahadev Productions, will be producing and hosting a reality show. This will be for the new Bhojpuri channel Mahua initiated by Pixon Entertainment.

    Baba Arts recently acquired a majority stake in Mahadev Productions.

    The show will present renowned personalities from UP who have made their mark in the country. Says Kissen, “There are many bigwigs today who have reached these heights after a putting in a lot of hard work. I will be projecting them in another light on my show and try to bring out things, which no one knows.”

    The show hits the tube sometime in March.

    Apart from this, Mahadev Productions is also gearing up for two films, one being Bhojpuri and the other Hindi. The regional film will be weaved around a budget of Rs 20 million (Rs 2 crores) and is titled Bihari Mafia.

    The Hindi film is called Bagawat with a budget of Rs 30 – 50 million (Rs 3 – 5 crores) and will be on the lines of Omkara. Both films will deal with hard hitting subjects and will have Kissen acting in them.

    Kissen will also be seen in Shyam Benegal’s Mahadev, Ganesh Acharya’s Money Hain To Honey Hain and Popcorn Enetertainment’s Loot.
