MUMBAI: Producer Kumar Mangat’s daughter Amita Pathak will make her debut in Haal-e-Dil, a film being produced by Mangat under the banner of Big Screen Entertainment and Eros International’s Sunil Lulla.
The film will be directed by Anil Devgan. At a private muhurat held recently, director Rajkumar Santoshi sounded the clapper board, while actor Kajol switched on the camera. Vishal Bhardwaj, the director of Mangat’s earlier film Omkara, did the honours by breaking the auspicious coconut.
Says Mangat, “Haal-e-Dil is a romantic love story devoid of any action. Apart from my daughter, there are two more newcomers, including model Nakuul Mehta, who plays the male lead. We are in the process of finalising another male lead.”
The film’s shooting will be wrapped up in a 50-day schedule, including stints in Chandigarh, Shimla and Manali. “We have planned a major schedule in Switzerland too,” informs Mangat.
Anand Raj Anand and Raghav Sachar provide the music score for the film, while the lyrics have been penned by Sameer. The film is based on a story-screenplay by Dhiraj Ratan with dialogues written by Sanjay Chhel.
