MUMBAI: On Independence Day, MAX will be airing Slumdog Crorepati at 8 pm. Adapted in Hindi from its English version, Slumdog Millionaire, the film captures the strident life in Mumbai’s slums.
The channel has also shot exclusively with the actors and the other talent that were a part of the film. Child actors Ayush Khedekar and RubinaAli will sing and dance to the tunes of Jai Ho in promos shot by MAX.
As a part of the programming lineup, MAX will also be showcasing actors Tanay Chedda and Tanvi Ganesh, Irffan Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Lovleen Tandon, Sukhwinder Singh and Resul Pookutty in a half hour special to be aired at various intervals between 8 – 15 August, with the actors sharing their on-set experiences and swapping shooting stories. Interesting anecdotes and scene specific trivia shared by the cast and crew in a special and exclusive wrap-around show between every break during the telecast of Slumdog Crorepati will also be screened.
The movie has been directed by Danny Boyle and stars Dev Patel, Madhur Mittal and Freida Pinto among others.
