MUMBAI: After a hiatus of two years, producer-director Mehul Kumar is back. After having directed films like Kohram, Krantiveer and Tirangaa, the maker will be back yet again with two movies, which he will launch this Diwali/Eid.

This time round, Kumar is moving away from his usual hard-hitting films. One of his new films will be a comedy, while the other will be an entertainer. Both films will be produced and directed by him. The scripting of these films is nearly complete.

Kumar says, “I will be announcing two films. The budget of comedy venture will be around Rs 15 million (Rs 1.5 crore), while that of the other will be around Rs 60 million (Rs 6 crore). The casting is almost 80 per cent finalized but there are a few formalities to be completed before naming the cast. I will be ready to announce the films in Diwali.”
