Given the excitement that the trailer of The Dirty Picture has already created, industry folks too are wondering if a sequel will be in the offing.

“It’s a bit early to think of a sequel. If people find it uplifting, then I’ll be the first to jump at the opportunity. Balaji and I are not closed to the idea," Luthria says.

Additionally, Luthria is all set to announce the remainder cast of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2 by end-October. “We wrap the shoot of The Dirty Picture by the end of September after which I will focus on the sequel of OUATIM,” he informs.
 
Speaking about The Dirty Picture, Luthria says, "We worked incredibly hard on the first look of the film. As the film is mainstream and commercial in every respect, that had to come through in the poster and trailer."

With the shoot nearing completion, The Dirty Picture will shortly head into post-production. The movie is scheduled to release on 2 December.
