Hungama wins Meffys award for Casino Royale

MUMBAI: Hungama Mobile has won the Best Marketing Campaign in Mobile Entertainment award at the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) awards recently.

The Forum represents the fast growing US$ 23 billion mobile entertainment industry; and this year’s MEFFYs were held at the Grimaldi Center in Monte Carlo.

The award was judged by a panel of judges from the field of entertainment, media and mobile networks for Hungama Mobile’s innovative packaging of mobile entertainment content for the box office hit film Casino Royale and the James Bond franchise from Sony Pictures Television International.

Hungama Mobile picked up this prestigious award, which is a first for an Indian company, at the Monte Carlo event fighting off competition from contenders such as Qwikker, The Hyperfactory, Nokia, and Vibes Media.

For Casino Royale campaign, Hungama Mobile had tied up with Hutch for providing mobile entertainment content for all 20 Bond back catalogue movies as well as the most recent, Casino Royale, across content categories such as music, imagery, video and games. The exclusive content available also includes the making of and behind the screen footage of the film. This association was used to enhance mobile entertainment content consumption among Hutch subscribers and acquire new ones.
