MUMBAI: Moser Baer has acquired the home video and satellite rights of Studio 18 and B R Films’ forthcoming co-production Bhootnath. The film is directed by debutant Vivek Sharma and stars Amitabh Bachchan and Juhi Chawla in lead roles and Shah Rukh Khan in a special appearance.
Confirming the same to Businessofcinema.com, producer – director Ravi Chopra says, “The rights have been acquired by Moser Baer. Bhootnath is 40 per cent complete. Currently Amitabh Bachchan is shooting for the film, Juhi joins us day after and Shah Rukh joins us on 22 August.”
Chopra is looking forward to wrap the shooting of the film by October this year and is looking at releasing it either by the end of this year or early next year.
The music of the film is composed by Vishal – Shekhar and lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar. Three songs have been recorded. The audio rights of the film lie with T-Series.
