MUMBAI: Moser Baer Entertainment unveiled the music of its debut Hindi movie Shaurya on 10 March at Cinemax.
The music will be released by Moser Baer. "We haven’t launched a music label. However, the music will be released under our brand name and this will only be for our own films. Our distributors will distribute these as we have a very strong network. We don’t intend to release music of others’ films," Moser Baer Entertainment CEO Harish Dayani informs Businessofcinema.com.
"The price of the music CDs will be at par with normal market standards – Rs 50 for cassettes and Rs 150 for CDs. We don’t intend to revolutionize the music market and hence we have price them at normal market rates. Since consumers are used to paying this price for music, we have also priced it at the same rate. The audio cassettes manufacturing has been outsourced," he adds.
Shaurya stars Rahul Bose, Minnisha Lamba, Jaaved Jaffri and Kay Kay Menon. The music has been composed by Adnan Sami and lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. It has been directed by Samar Khan.
Dayani adds, "It was exactly a year ago when Javed Akhtar inaugurated Moser Baer’s operations. We are now releasing the music of our first Hindi movie together."
‘Shaurya kya hai?’ poems recited by Shah Rukh Khan will also be included in the music album.
The film is slated to release on 4 April.
