MUMBAI: The music of the forthcoming Ram Gopal Varma film Nishabd was released in the presence of actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jiah Khan and music director Vishal Bharadwaj on 17 February 2007.
The film has only two songs, and have has been sung by Bachchan and Khan. The theme song, rendered by Bachchan, has music by Bharadwaj. This is the first time the duo has worked together. “Bachchanji wanted me to be away while he was recording the song, I really missed that moment. But I am glad he has done a wonderful job. Rozana is the most romantic song of my career,” says Bharadwaj.
According to Bharadwaj, he had previously composed another tune for Rozana, which was rejected by Varma. The film also sees Jiah Khan making her acting debut as well as her foray into singing. The young actor has lent her voice for Take Lite, a song composed by Amar Mohile, who has also worked on the film’s background score.
