MUMBAI: Sunny Deol’s seven movie joint venture with K Sera Sera has finally taken off, with the shooting of the first project commencing in Mumbai.
The film stars Nana Patekar and Bobby Deol and is being directed by Sangeeth Sivan. A remake of the blockbuster Telugu hit Athadu, the film has music scored by Pritam.
“The shooting of the first joint venture with Vijayata Films has started. We have not finalised the title yet, but we have already completed the first schedule and the second stint has commenced from Wednesday,” says K Sera Sera head Parag Sanghvi.
“It’s an action thriller and we are on the verge of finalising the rest of the cast. We are looking at a June release. The film is budgeted at Rs 150 million (Rs 15 crore). The second joint venture with Vijayata is titled Airport, which will feature both Sunny and Bobby together, and will be directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film will be budged at Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore),” adds Sanghvi.
