Mumbai: Beginning this October, NDTV Lumière and Tabula Rasa will give cinema lovers in Delhi a mid-week session of the best in world cinema. The initiative called Tabula Rasa Lumière kickstarts with Fateh Akin’s romantic road movie In July on 1 October at 9 p.m. The initiative is presented by NDTV Lumière, credited with furthering the world cinema movement in India and Tabula Rasa, the restaurant and lounge bar located in Saket.
Tabula Rasa Lumière will provide movie lovers with an opportunity to watch contemporary cutting edge cinema from around the globe. Further, taking a glance into the unexplored subject of World Cinema, it will also present critics and film enthusiasts from different backgrounds a platform to share their views, opinions and thoughts. The Tabula Rasa Lumière screenings will take place twice a month on every alternate Wednesday at 9 pm and will be free to everyone.
Announcing the initiative with Tabula Rasa, NDTV Imagine senior vice president – new ventures Dhruvank Vaidya said "Our aim has been to promote world cinema across platforms in India and provide a unique and entertaining viewing experience. World Cinema Wednesdays is an initiative in this direction. We are happy to join hands with Tabula Rasa to bring this unique experience to Delhi."
