MUMBAI: Film Bazaar India 10, held by National Film Development Corporation Ltd (NFDC), has partnered with Moscow Co-production Forum. This forum, which will be held alongside the Moscow International Film Festival from 17 -26 June, 2010, has selected the project The Virgin Goddess, by K.N.T.Sastry.
Under this alliance, each partner organization will select one project to take part in the Moscow Co Production Forum and in Film Bazaar in Goa from 23 -26 November, 2010. The Virgin Goddess was one of the projects showcased in the co-production market in Film Bazaar India-2009 in Goa.
Film Bazaar’s international partners include Cinemart and Hubert Bals Fund, the Binger Filmlab, Netherlands, Prime Exchange, Germany, Europa Cinema, France and Locarno International Film Festival. It is also exploring partnerships with IFP, New York, Telefilm Canada, and Australia.
Film Bazaar is a film market held over 4 days in Goa from 23 – 26 November, 2010 organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and held alongside the International Film Festival of India. The event is a South Asian sales and distribution platform and aims to facilitate greater collaborations between the Indian and International film fraternity in the realms of distribution and production. Selected Indian feature projects looking for international co-producers have an opportunity to pitch their project to potential global partners through one-to-one meetings. Other activities include workshops for further developing/ improving screenplays and for films that are at a rough cut stage with a view to improving their potential for the international market, the promotion of films from the Official Selection of Indian Panorama from IFFI, stalls, and discussions/ presentations in the NFDC Knowledge Series.
