Palekar for Patekar

Mumbai: Actor Nana Patekar’s son Malhar is making his film debut. Not as an actor but as a technician behind the camera. He is debuting as an associate cameraman with veteran cinematographer Debu Deodhar. The film is Maatimaay, a marathi film that marks the directorial debut of Chitra Palekar (ex wife of actor director Amol Palekar).

Though there are several filmmakers in both hindi and marathi wanting to launch him as an actor, Malhar who has always had a keen interest in photography has decided to give acting a wait. He had acted as a child artist in his father’s only film as a director, Prahaar, essaying the role of a young Nana Patekar.
