Pan Nalin’s short-film starring Hurman Baweja screened at Cannes

MUMBAI: Hurman Baweja’s Echo of Eco was screened at the Cannes Film Festival for select guests and invitees at the ballroom of Hotel Carlton.

Echo for Eco is one of the 30 films backed by United Nations. Director Pan Nalin had been selected to make a short film to save the environment that has Baweja playing the lead in it.

A source said, "Pan had liked Hurman’s performance in Victory and those chose him to play the lead in this short film. Nalin and Baweja had several sittings for Hurman to get familiar with his role. Echo of Eco was screened at Cannes recently."

Hurman said, "I’m honoured to be a part of a film like this that’s supported by the UN and has Pan Nalin directing it. At the same time, the film is very challenging. That’s what prompted me to be a part of this film. These films give a satisfaction that is very creatively satisfying."
