Mumbai: The Future Group, which owns Pantaloon Retail chains, has roped in Bollywood actors Bipasha Basu and Zayed Khan for its brand communication activities. The company is expecting
to pump in close to Rs 750 million – Rs 1 billion on marketing activities this year.
Retail India marketing president Sanjeev Agarwal says, “Bipasha and Zayed will reflect our new strategy for a makeover of the Pantaloons brand. We are now looking at a target group of 18-25 years old for Pantaloon’s brand communication.”
The Future Group is also in talks with other youth icons to connect with its target base of young customers and form a 360 degree marketing campaign. As a part of its new communication strategy, the group is also looking to increase their outlay on mediums such as mobile and internet.
In 2002, Pantaloon had presented Hritik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Esha Deol starrer Na Tum Jaano Na Hum. Pantaloon had also tied up with various Hindi films like Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and Kya Kool Hai Hum for promotions.
