PassionForCinema.com rolls One-Minute Film Festival

Mumbai: PassionForCinema.com has announced its Call for Entries for the second annual PFCOne Film Festival, a pioneering online festival featuring one-minute movies.
The entry period for PFCOne runs from 5 August through 31 October and all films submitted will screen on the PassionForCinema.com Website between 1 – 5 December.

PFCOne is a juried festival with prizes including film and screenwriting internships with prominent directors and writers working on the forefront of Indian cinema.

The mission of PassionForCinema.com is to encourage anyone who has ever dreamed of making a film to do so, and to submit that film to the PFCOne festival to share with other film lovers. PassionForCinema.com invites everyone to create a one-minute movie shot with a mobile phone, camcorder, digital or movie camera, or any other device which can capture motion pictures. Animated, digital, and other alternative format films are also encouraged.

Confirmed jurors for 2008 include Shashank Ghosh, Amol Gupte, Nishikant Kamat, Anurag Kashyap, Christina Marouda, Hansal Mehta, Shridhar Raghavan, Sriram Raghavan, Revathy, Navdeep Singh and Suparn Verma.

The 2008 PFCOne Film Festival also inaugurates The Kieslowski Award, sponsored by Hansal Mehta. Mehta will personally select one filmmaker and offer production and financial assistance to remake his or her entire one minute movie in Super 16 or HD format. Mehta will produce the film and PassionForCinema.com will work with the filmmaker to submit and present the film.
