People Infocom goes spiritual

PRESS RELEASE

Brings to you shlokas from the Bhagwad Geeta

Plans to reach out to linguistically diverse markets

In keeping with the ongoing season of religious festivities – Mauj Mobile, one of India’s premier mobile VAS solutions providers, today announced its latest offering for mobile users – Shlokas from the Bhagwad Geeta.

· To receive ‘Shloka of the day’, SMS ‘GEETA’ to 57007

· Subscription charges: Rs 30/-

Mauj Mobile offers customers 108 shlokas, which form the crux of the ‘Geeta Saar’ to choose from. Customers can opt for their favourite shloka to set as their Background Music, Ringtone, Caller Tune or Alarm Alert. Customers can also choose to send these shlokas as a Voice or a normal SMS to their friends & family. And for those who would like to get a shloka as an outbound call every morning, Mauj Mobile provides an Interactive Voice Response feature at a subscription of Rs 30/- per month.

Speaking on the prospects of this product, Mr. Manoj Dawane, CEO, People Infocom (Mauj), said, “Mauj Mobile has to its credit a large repertoire of Devotional content, from which we have drawn the vision to create this offering. We are extremely optimistic about the acceptance of this product, not just amongst our Indian customer base but also across non-Indians with an affinity to Indian culture and spirituality. Through this initiative, Mauj Mobile has attempted to bring together two seemingly unlike concepts – mobile technology and spiritual connect, in keeping with the highest standards of quality that has always been associated with Mauj Mobile,”

Shlokas available in: Text, Full track song, MP3 tones, True tones, SMS tones.

This unique product will be launched in 3 phases, each phase targeting a different lingual market.

The first phase will have the Shlokas recited in Sanskrit followed by their meaning in Hindi, so that people understand their real significance.

The second phase of the launch will focus on those individuals who are relatively more comfortable with English. So while the original Shlokas will be in Sanskrit, their meaning will be explained in English.

Mauj Mobile also plans to target the lingual diversity across the country by tapping the regional masses in the third phase of the launch. In this phase the Shlokas will be made available in various regional languages, including Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Gujarati, Oriya, Bhojpuri and Punjabi.

The Geeta Shloka service is at present available to only Airtel subscribers, however Mauj Mobile has plans to take this offering to other service users shortly.

Mauj Mobile is a recognized mobile VAS provider, and had recently tied-up with ESPN to run and manage their shortcode and WAP destination ports.
