Percept Picture, Pritish Nandy join hands for Ugly aur Pagli

Mumbai: Percept Picture Company has tied up with Pritish Nandy Communications to distribute worldwide the forthcoming PNC film Ugly aur Pagli. The film stars Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorey and is supported by Zeenat Aman, Gaurav Kapur, Sapna Bhavnani, Mika, Hard Kaur and Payal Rohatgi.

This tie-up is only a precursor to a strategic alignment between two successful entertainment companies looking to make movies for today’s generation of viewers. Percept and PNC look forward to taking ahead their relationship with some more movies currently in their pipeline. These movies will be announced shortly.

Percept Picture Company joint MD Shailendra Singh says, "PPC and PNC have always believed in offering differentiated commercial cinema and our association will fuel-in supply. The key strategic reason of our association is that we are in sync in our ideas of what we want to offer the audience."

He adds, "With the acquisition of Ugly aur Pagli we are looking at a long term successful relationship with PNC. The movie has the potential to strike an impressive balance between a light hearted romance and a comedy, a genre of which there has been a dearth of in recent times"

PNC chairman Pritish Nandy says, "The PPC, PNC relationship is based on a common vision of where Bollywood is going and we hope to work together with Harinder and Shailendra Singh to anticipate the future of the business."

Ugly aur Pagli is an uproariously funny romantic comedy directed by Sachin Khot. The movie promises to offer a unique love story with a punch, a thud and some serious arm twisting thrown in with zero bedside manners. Irs baseline—99 slaps, 1 kiss—says it all.

The music for Ugly Aur Pagli is by Anu Malik and is, in many ways, entirely different from his earlier work. It is innovative, exciting, new and sets the mood for this charming tale of romance between this not exactly perfect young man and a girl who refuses to live out her romance in predictable terms.
