Pooja Bhatt to direct film for Vishesh Films

MUMBAI: Actor-producer-director Pooja Bhatt is back at the helm of things. After a three-year hiatus, Bhatt will direct a film for Vishesh Films. The last film under her home banner was Jism in 2003 where she was the production designer. However, due to some difference of opinion, she stepped out and started her own production house. Now, she is back her father Mahesh Bhatt and uncle Mukesh Bhatt..


 


“Pooja is back with Vishesh Films. She has been signed on to direct a film, which will be launched in January 2007. Mahesh Bhatt is writing the story of this untitled movie. Other than this, nothing yet has been finalized yet,” discloses Mukesh Bhatt.


 


He further adds, “We are launching four big films in January 2007. Pooja, Anurag Basu, Mohit Suri and Kunal Deshmukh will direct one each. The scripting, casting and the budgeting is under finalisation for all these movies. Awaarapan directed by Mohit Suri is budgeted at Rs 150 million (Rs 15 crores). It stars Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Saran and we plan to release it on 27 April.”


 


Mohit Suri, the director of Aawarapan says, “I am still looking out for a fresh face to play the second lady in my film. I plan to take the film on floors by 25 November.”
