Popular Prakashan, Star release joke books


MUMBAI: Publishing house, Popular Prakashan has come out with Jokes Book and SMS Jokes in association with Star Plus.


 


Jokes Book 1 is the first of the series of laughter products inspired by Star’s show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Popular Prakashan has brought out compilation of some popular jokes collected from all corners of India.


 


SMS Jokes is a book with crazy jokes about the mobile telephony.  The book has a mild approach and has left out materials that are over-the-top or politically incorrect.


 


Both the books are priced at Rs 50 each.


 


Initially, Popular Prakashan released two books – Jokes (Book 1) and SMS Jokes Book –1. Now the companies are planning to come out with four more titles in next three months. A laughter notes diary is also to be published soon which has funny stickers for office cubicles.


 


Popular Prakashan director Harsha Bhatkal said, “We are proud to associate ourselves with Star Plus, which is No.1 family channel in India, who is the producer of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, the No. 1 comedy show in India. We believe in giving the best to the readers exactly the same entertainment from these books.”


 


He further added that Popular Prakashan will shortly come out with some more interesting titles in the form of joke books. In addition to this they will shortly unveil various books on art, recipe and paintings showcasing the best from across the country.


 

Popular Prakashan had also brought out several books in association with Star Plus and Sony. These include serials like Son Pari, Shaka Laka Book Boom, Prithviraj Chauhan from Star Plus and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi from Sony.
