MUMBAI: The late legendary filmmaker L V Prasad will be honoured in the Hyderabad International Convention Centre on 5 September. The minister of information and technology Dr Shakeel Ahmed will officially release a postage stamp in the name of Prasad.
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy will also be present on the occasion, whereas Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao (minister of state for Coal) will preside over the function.
Actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan will address the gathering and recount the glorious days of Prasad. The others who will be present at the felicitation are D.V.S. Raju, Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Ramoji Rao and son of L.V. Prasad, Ramesh Prasad.
Some of the films made by Prasad include Humrahi, Jeene Ki Raah, Bidaai, Chhoti Bahen, Beti Bete and Daadi Maa amongst others.
