MUMBAI: PVR Pictures and Anil Kapoor (AK) Films Company’s forthcoming film Aisha is slated to release on 6 August, 2010.
Directed by Rajshree Ojha and starring Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor, the film is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma. The film has been shot in Delhi and Rishikesh besides the sets in Mumbai.
This will be Sonam’s fourth release since she made her debut in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya followed by her second film Delhi-6, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Prior to Aisha’s release in August, Sonam will also be seen in Dharma Productions’ I Hate Luv Storys opposite Imran Khan. The movie, which is directed by debutant Puneet Malhotra, is slated to release on 2 July.
In Aisha, Sonam plays the role of a high society girl. The film also stars Cyrus Sahukar and Ira Dubey.
