Pyramid Saimira launches Faridabad food court

MUMBAI: Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd (PSTL) has inaugurated its food court at SLF Mall in Indraprastha Colony, Faridabad, on 10 December, 2007.


Pyramid Saimira Theatre managing director P S Saminathan said, “We are extremely happy to inaugurate our food court in Faridabad, which marks a turning point in our food business. So far, we only had canteens catering to film going customers. Today, we are on the verge of becoming a full fledged food and restaurant business entity. There is a tremendous synergy between food and entertainment, and Pyramid Saimira plans to capitalise on it.”


“Further, PSTL is present in about 450 towns and we rely on our foot fall, as well as multi-location advantage. We are also planning to inaugurate our screens here very shortly and we are sure that with this, SLF Mall will provide end-to-end entertainment & eating out solution to the local populace,” he added.


To mark the Inauguration of the food court, the company has announced an offer where customers who run up a bill of Rs 100 and more at the food court will get a free movie ticket, valid till March 2008. The offer will be open till 31 December, 2007.


Recently, the company acquired 51 per cent in the Mumbai-based Dimples Cine Advertising and Dimples Cine Activations. The company also acquired Texas-based FunAsiA through its subsidiary; Pyramid Saimira Entertainment America, Inc., as well as an existing theatre and radio drive-time hours in Chicago and radio time in Houston.


Shares of the company gained Rs 5.05, or 1.51 per cent, to trade at Rs 339.70 on the BSE.
