RGV’s Shiva postponed to September

Mumbai :The release of RGV Films’ Shiva has been postponed. The film was scheduled to release on 25th August. Shiva is actually a remake of Ramu’s own film Shiva which had released in 1990’s and had turned out to be a success at the box office.


When contacted Ravi Prakash, PRO, RGV Films, he confirmed the news but refuses to share any further information. He says, “Yes, it is true the release of the film has been postponed.” When asked for the reason he says, “It is our film, we will release it as per our convenience.” The promos of the film are already on air declaring 25 August as the release date. “We will change all the promos soon, it doesn’t take long.”


Now the film may release on 8 September or 15 September. If the film releases on 8 September it will have to compete with Onir’s Bas Ek Pal starring Urmila, Sanjay Suri, Juhi Chawla and Jimmy Shergill, Aaditya Dutt’s Dil Diya Hai starring Emraan Hashmi, Ashmit Patel and new comer Geeta Basra, Kachchi Sadak starring Late. Amrish Puri and Sachin Bajaj’s Naksha starring Sunny Deol, Viviek, Jackie and Sameera Reddy.


If the film releases on 15 September it will race with Mukta Arts’ Apna Sapna Money Money staring Riteish Deshmukh, Koena Mitra, Celina Jaitely, Riya Sen and Shreyas Talpade, Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dor starring Shreyas Talpade and Ayesha Takia and Vishesh Films’ Woh Lamhe starring Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut.
