Mumbai: This year’s Diwali will see three movies vying for a share at the box office.
Yash Raj Films animation flick Roadside Romeo and Red Chillies’ Billo Barber starring Irffan Khan, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav and Shahrukh Khan himself are slated to release on 24 October, four days prior to the festival and Warner Brothers’ Chandni Chowk To China starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone which will release on 24 October.
Earlier the release of Shree Ashtavinayak produced Golmaal Returns and Subhash Ghai directed Yuvraaj were also tentatively scheduled for 24 October. But Golmaal Return will now release on 7 November, whereas Yuvraaj has been postponed indefinitely because the film shooting has not wrapped up.
With three movies already releasing this Diwali, the worldwide distributors of Golmaal Returns – The Indian Film Company chose to postpone the release of the movie by two weeks in order to get a better window.
