Synopsis
The story is set 6 years post the 1971 Indo Pak war that, culminated in the creation of Bangladesh. Despite winning the war, a lot of Indian defence personnel have found themselves held captive in various jails in Pakistan and faced with the fact that the Pakistan Govt. denies their very existence.
International pressure has forced the Pakistan Government to make changes in the way they treat these prisoners. In a very calculated move, the Pakistani Army is ordered to assemble all the Indian POW’s in various Pakistani jails and transfer them to a secret location somewhere in the mountainous terrain of Pakistan.
In the newly set up camp living conditions, food and other amenities improve considerably enough for the captive Indians to believe that their release has been finally negotiated, which has given the weary Indian POWs a ray of hope and a reason to celebrate.
However, a band of six soldiers, Major Suraj Singh (Manoj Bajpai), Lt Ram (Manav Kaul), Lt. Gurtu (Deepak Dobriyal), Capt.Kabir (Kumud Mishra), Subedar Ahmed (Chitaranjan Giri) and Capt.Jacob (Ravi Kishan, suspect a foul play in this new found change of heart that the Pakistanis seemed to have undergone.
When they investigate the matter they make a startling discovery, one that galvanizes them to take a drastic measure to ensure the well being of the Indian POW’s.
They chalk out the most daring escape from the POW camp. Their Goal: to reach the Indian border at all costs and to alert the Indian authorities of their findings.
What ensues is a gut-wrenching chase, across the unyielding terrain, where these men brave inhuman weather conditions and the constant threat of the Pak officials on the hunt for the stray POW’s.
All they have to rely on this dangerous mission are each other, their undying sprit and their love for their homeland. But will these be enough to see them through…
