Sajid Nadiadwala’s father passes away

MUMBAI: Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s father – Suleman Nadiadwala, passed away on Tuesday morning, after a prolonged illness.

The senior Nadiadwala had been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Mumbai hospital last week.

The Indian film fraternity, including the likes of Salman Khan, was seen at the Nadiadwala residence to offer condolences.

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is a third generation film production company, which traces its foundation to a family celebrating over 50 years in the film industry. The Nadiadwalas boasts of professionals like Abdul Karim Nadiadwala, Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala, Farruk Nadiadwala, Habib Nadiadwala and Suleman Nadiadwala, who between them produced over 200 films from as early as 1955.

In 1990 Suleman Nadiadwala’s son Sajid Nadiadwala took over the management of the family run production house.

Some of the movies that have been produced under the banner are the recently released Heyy Babyy and Jaan-e-Mann. Some of the other movies under the banner are Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Judwa, Jeet, Andolan, Waqt Hamara Hai and Zulm Ki Hukumat.
