Director Sameer Karnik who was instrumental in bringing Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai together for the first time in Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, is now pairing Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif once again for Meri Love Story. Earlier they were seen in David Dhawan’s Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya. The film is said to cross over a figured budget of Rs. 110 million.
Sameer Karnik is busy scripting the film with none-other-than Salman Khan. It is believed that the film will have traces from Salman’s personal life story as he has given the story idea. The focal attraction is his romance. The shooting of the film will commence from early 2007, whereby a major portion is being planned to be shot in foreign locales.
While talking to Karnik, he did not want to throw too much light on the film. But exactly how much will the people be able to see the real autobiography of Salman’s romance is anyone’s guess. Salman and Katrina Kaif were not available for comments.
Meanwhile, Karnik’s under-production film, Nanhe Jaisalmer, in association with K Sera Sera has been completed recently in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). The film has Katrina Kaif paired opposite Bobby Deol with a 10-year old kid Diij Jadhav. While speaking on this film, he says, “I can’t reveal the story. But the kid has lot to do and it’s a very entertaining film. The shooting has been completed within 37 days and currently the post-production work is going on in full swing. I’m planning to release the film in August.”
