Salman Khan goes out of the way to complete Bodyguard to meet release deadline

MUMBAI: Reliance Entertainment, the co-producers of Salman Khan’s next release Bodyguard, have apparently issued an ultimatum to Atul Agnihotri for the completion of the film in time for its release during Eid.

For a while it seemed touch-and-go as Salman, sandwiched between the last schedule of Bodyguard and the first schedule of Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger seemed to be losing track of the deadline for the release of Bodyguard.

It’s not easy being Salman Khan. Not when Eid-ul-Fitr is around the corner. Every year it seems this Khan is expected to deliver a potential blockbuster at the box office. This year’s Eid release has been struggling to be completed on time.

While there was talk of postponing the release, Reliance Entertainment is said to have put its foot down.

Says a source, “They made it very clear to Atul Agnihotri that the film comes as Salman’s Eid release. If that deadline was to be missed then Reliance would wait till the next year Eid but wouldn’t release on a non-Eid weekend.”

Given the ultimatum Salman pulled up his socks and went out of his way to complete the film in time. The actor is now dividing his time between the shooting of Ek Tha Tiger and the editing of Bodyguard.

Agnihotri informs, “We’re all set to release on time.”
