MUMBAI: Vikas Kapoor’s debut production, Mera Bharat Mahaan, will be shot in Kashmir from May 2007.
The film will star Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta, Riteish Deshmukh and Sohail Khan and will be directed by Sameer Karnik. The film is also likely to star Amitabh Bachchan in a crucial role. Kapoor has been better known as actor Salman Khan’s secretary thus far.
“Talks are definitely on with Mr Bachchan for a very important role and I think everything will be finalised within a week. The shooting will commence from May in Kashmir. It is too early to reveal the story. Mera Bharat Mahaan will be one of the costliest films ever made in Indian history,” claims Kapoor.
