MUMBAI: Udayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu’s internal affairs minister M K Stalin, will launch a mega budget Tamil film shortly.
Says a unit member of the film, on condition of anonymity, “The film will have a formal launch by the end of January, marked by a glittering function. It is a big budget movie. Udaynidhi has wanted to make a film with Vijay, who is also a close friend of the producer. The film is yet untitled, but Vijay has been paid Rs 50 million (Rs five crore) as his acting fee. Vijay will also have the liberty to choose his director. The heroines and the other technical team are being finalised. Asin, Trisha, Shriya and Nayantara have been shortlisted to play the female lead in the film.”
