MUMBAI: After being out of jail for close to two months, actor Sanjay Dutt today surrendered to the police after he received a copy of the judgment from a TADA court, which convicted him in the 1993 serial blasts case.
The actor has been sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment under the Arms Act for illegal possession of an AK-56 assault rifle and a pistol. He has been sent to the

Media reports suggest that Dutt’s lawyers are expected to approach the Supreme Court for a regular bail and also challenge the six-year sentence awarded to him by the TADA court.
Incidentally, Dutt has already spent 16 months in jail in 1994 as an undertrial.
