MUMBAI: The release of the Sanjay Dutt starrer Nehle Pe Dehla, which was to hit screens on 9 February, has now been postponed to end-February.
This implies that Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Eklavya – The Royal Guard, which is slated for a 16 February release, will be Sanjay Dutt’s next release after Lage Raho Munnabhai.
“I am negotiating with other distributors and if all goes well, we will release it on 9 February or else, on 23 February,” says producer Mahendra Dhariwal.
Nehle Pe Dehla, directed by Ajay Chandok, stars Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Kim Sharma, Mukesh Rishi and Shakti Kapoor. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 180 million (Rs 18 crore) and will be released with 100 prints in Bombay circuit. Prime Focus is presenting the film and Navkar Finance has acquired Mumbai territories for Rs 45 million (Rs 4.5 crore).
