Sanjay shoots for Shootout At Lokhandwala

MUMBAI: After shooting for two days for Ajay Chandok’s Jimmy And Johnny, Sanjay Dutt recently shot for Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Lokhandwala, which is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

With the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case going on, Dutt had decided not to shoot for any film till the court verdict was out.

“Sanjay Dutt made an exception and shot for a day for Shootout At Lokhandwala. We had got the combination dates of all the leading artistes in the film, including Amitabh Bachchan. These combination dates were obtained six months in advance and with Dutt’s cooperation, we managed to complete the shooting. However, Sanjay still has about 20 days of shooting left for the film. We are waiting for verdict of the case,” says Lakhia.

Shootout At Lokhandwala is based on a true life incident of the Mumbai police’s encounter with the under world holed up in the city’s plush Lokhandwala Complex.
