Sanraa Media pockets distribution rights of Taxi No 9211 remake

MUMBAI: Sanraa Media has acquired the distribution rights of a Tamil feature film called TN 07 AL 4777, which is a remake of the Hindi film Taxi No 9211.

The movie, which is produced by GV Films, stars Pasupathy and Simran in the lead. Made on a budget of Rs 50 million (Rs 5 crores), the movie will hit screens on 20 February. Sanraa Media has also done computer graphics and special effects for the film.

Sanraa started out as an animation company but also forayed into production and distribution a few months back. Last month, the company signed a co-production deal with Endemol UK for an animated series based on a Kuwaiti comic book.

It also said it would distribute the international flick in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
