MUMBAI: Choreographer Saroj Khan directorial debut is all set to be launched in August this year. The film is titled Sati… A Burning Desire To Love.
Sources close to the production say, “The film is produced by K. Bhagyalaxmi Pictures in association with Cinetek Motion Pictures. The producers are S. Kumar Mohan, Akashdeep and Shanoo Mehra. It is a bi-lingual venture and will star three top heroes and a heroine. The film is written by Makrand Deshpande. Nitin Desai is the art director, Salim Sulaiman will provide the musical score and Surendra M. Rao will provide photography for the film.”
The eight times award winner Saroj Khan had choreographed more than 200-odd songs. The last released films were Don and Guru. She had choreographed for films like Taj Mahal – An Eternal Love Story, Mangal Pandey, Kisna, Swades, Veer-Zaara, Devdas, Anari No. 1 amongst others. Khan was supposed to foray into direction with a Bhojpuri film Dil Diwana Tohar Gayil starring Ravi Kissen and Nagma, which is said to be kept on the back burner. Khan has also acted in a Nasserudin Shah’s film Yun Hota To Kya Hota.
