Screening of Bridge to Terabithia with Sushmita

MUMBAI: E-City, which released Hollywood flick Bridge to Terabithia in India today (16 February), has planned a special screening of the film on 18 February for kids from St Catherine’s Home, along with Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen.


Bridge to Terabithia is an adventurous and moving tale, which explores the wonders of friendship, family and fantasy and is imbued with a belief in the power of the imagination.


The film is directed by Gabor Csupo, and is based on the award-winning novel by Katherine Paterson. It stars Josh Hutcherson, Annasophia Robb, Zooey Deschanel, Robert Patrick, Bailey Madison, Kate Butler.


Says E-City Films’ head Amit Dhanukar, “The multiplex revolution has paved the way for the English movie market in India, which can be pegged at Rs 1 billion (Rs 10 crore). We are looking at a 30 per cent growth in this business.”


The event will also act as a prelude to the birthday of Barbie on 9 March 2007 and Sushmita Sen will distribute Barbie dolls among kids.
