MUMBAI: Actor Shah Rukh Khan launched Mumbai’s new film based tabloid The Film Street Journal last weekend.
The journal is a joint venture between Film Information editor Komal Nahta and Bhavna Doshi, a self practicing chartered accountant.
The Film Street Journal is a tabloid based on the fact and figures of the entertainment industry encompassing films, television and theatre. The weekly journal will be available at all multiplexes across Mumbai city, every Sunday, from 27 May, 2007.
“The box office figures and trade news have always been confined to the film fraternity. With The Film Street Journal we will strive to reach out to the common man with news about seriousness of the entertainment business,” explains Nahta.
Present at the launch were filmmakers Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan, Kunal Kohli, David Dhavan, Vashu Baghnani, Raj Kamal Barjatya, actors Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Mithun and Mimoh Chakraborty, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Suri and Bikram Saluja.
