MUMBAI: Sharmila Tagore marks her television debut as the judge of NDTV Imagine’s musical show, Dhoom Macha De. Sharmila will be judging the show along with music director Shankar Mahadevan and creative whiz, lyricist and script writer Prasoon Joshi.
These jury members along with the votes of the entire nation will adjudge the winner in the ultimate competition to uncover the country’s Best Live Performer.
Tagore commented, “I am really excited to judge Dhoom Macha De. It’s something I haven’t done before and I’m really looking forward to it. All the participants are extremely talented and judging them is going to be a tough task. I wish all of them the very best.”
Mahadevan added, “I am delighted to co judge Dhoom Macha De with Sharmila ji. She truly epitomizes beauty and talent in Indian cinema and I have always looked upto her… and watched all her films, so it is going to be an honor to sit beside her to judge this show.”
Dhoom Macha De is the new show from NDTV Imagine which will hit TV screens early next year. For the first time ever on television, eleven of India’s established singers like Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz will come together in one show to compete at a at live performance.
