MUMBAI: Audrey Lee has been appointed as senior vice president of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s distribution legal affairs group.

Lee will oversee legal affairs for distribution of content for the domestic pay television, non-European international television, digital/online/mobile and home entertainment businesses and for worldwide digital cinema.

Sony Pictures Entertainment deputy general counsel and executive vice president for legal affairs Corii Berg said, “As Sony Pictures expands its presence in the digital marketplace, we need people like Audrey helping to lead the way. With her years of experience dealing with the intersection of the law, technology and content, Audrey is the ideal person to head legal affairs for a variety of our distribution businesses in the digital era.”

Lee commented, “I’m proud to be part of a business that is at the forefront of bringing content to consumers using the most advanced technology possible. Lee has also been involved in negotiating Blu-ray disc agreements with retailers.

Prior to joining Sony Pictures, Lee was at internet incubator idealab and worked at the law firm of Latham and Watkins.
