Shemaroo adds international films to library


MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has now forayed into international movies’ distribution. The company has acquired close to 300 titles, across all genres.


 



It may be recalled that Businessofcinema.com was the first to report that Shemaroo is planning to launch a World Cinema label. The forthcoming releases will contain works of famed directors both in DVD and VCD formats.


 


The company has associated with studios like Pathe, UGC, Lakeshore Entertainment and many others.


 


Some of the titles that the company has acquired are Me & Will, The Graduate, The Next Best Thing, Beyond The Sea, Cape of Good Hope, Cloud 9, The Drop, Too Young To Die, A River Runs Through It, The Stone Council and Left Luggage amongst others.


 


The distribution plan has been backed up with marketing, advertising and publicity so as to make consumers aware of the presence of the movies.
