Shemaroo celebrates Kurosawa’s centenary birth anniversary with film festival

MUMBAI: In order to make World Cinema more accessible to the Indian audiences like never before, Shemaroo Entertainment will be organising a film festival of Akira Kurosawa.

To commemorate the centenary birth anniversary of the renowned Japanese filmmaker Kurosawa, Shemaroo World Cinema has organised this film festival, which will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.

The festival will kick-start on 24 July in Kolkata and will be shown in other metors till September.

Additionally, Shemaroo will also launch Kurosawa’s four titles on home video – Rashomon, Ran, Madadayo and Quiet Duel. These titles will be available with bonus features and Hindi sub-titles.
