MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has launched Best of Dilip Kumar in a Value Pack of 4 DVDs. The Value pack includes the films of veteran actor Dilip Kumar that include: Devdas, Madhumati, Leader and Naya Daur.
The DVD value pack is priced at Rs 399.
Dilip Kumar was the first actor to receive a Filmfare Best Actor Award. In fact, he holds the record for maximum number of Filmfare Awards won for this category. He was also honored with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1992. The Government of India honored him with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 – the highest award for cinematic excellence in India and Padma Bhushan in 1991.
His film, Devdas was directed by Bimal Roy.
Madumati, another Bimal Roy film, was one of the earliest films to deal with reincarnation and had a gothic noir feel to it.
