Shemaroo launches Nutan’s best films collection on home video

MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has launched Best of Nutan – a Collectors pack of 4 DVDs which includes the actress’s best performances – Anari, Sujata, Bandini and Saraswatichandra.

Anari, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, the film features Nutan and Raj Kapoor. The story of the film revolves around a poor and honest chap and his love.

Sujata, a classic film directed by Bimal Roy, is based on the social issue of untouchability in India. The film won four Filmfare awards including that for the best actress. The film features Nutan and Sunil Dutt.

Bandini, is also directed by Bimal Roy and the story of the film is based on the book of Jarasandha, a former jail superintendent. The film won six Filmfare awards that year.

Saraswatichandra, is based on a Gujarati Novel Saraswatichandra. Directed by Govind Saraiya, Nutan is paired with actor Manish. The film portrays the scene of Old India when. The film won the National Film Awards in the Best Cinematography and Best Music Director categories.

The DVD Value Pack is priced at Rs 399.
