MUMBAI: Shreyas Talpade will be seen in a fun re-creation of Amitabh Bachchan’s role from Desh Premee for his upcoming comedy film Hum Tum Shabana.
Shreyas will be seen in the same hilarious coconut seller avatar as Bachchan did in the song Tane Din Tandana, where he tries to woo Minissha Lamba on a beach.
Hum Tum Shabana also stars Tusshar Kapoor and is slated to release on 23 September.
Horseshoe Pictures’ Sunil Chainani said, “The song is the fun title track of the film called Hey Na Shabana wherein Minissha is angry at the two men and they are trying to manao her! In the process they do anything and everything so we had an idea to style the song using Bollywood’s cult images. That led to Shreyas dressed as Mr Bachchan’s cult coconut seller avatar in Desh Premee, as the song was shot on a beach!! Shreyas does all sorts of comic antics to woo Minissha as Mr Bachchan tried in the film for Hema Malini…It is sure to garner a lot of laughs!”
