MUMBAI: Star One will air the Aamir Khan starrer Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin in its weekend slot ‘Screen One’ on 30 June 2007 at 10 pm.
Pooja (Pooja Bhatt) is the only daughter of shipping tycoon Seth Dharamchand and is head over heels in love with a movie star Deepak Kumar (Sameer Chitre). When her father strongly disapproves of their marriage, she jumps from their family yacht and escapes. She has to reach Bangalore anyhow because Deepak is shooting for a film there. Meanwhile, her father sends private detectives to look for her.
She manages to elude them, and boards a crowded inter-state bus to Bangalore. In the bus she encounters a smart loud-mouth reporter Raghu Jetley (Aamir Khan) who has just lost his job. On the way he finds out the truth about her. He offers to help her in exchange for an exclusive story on her. After many hitch-hikes, nightly shelters, the out-of-luck reporter and runaway heiress find themselves more and more in love with each other.
