MUMBAI: Straight, directed by Parvati Balagopalan has tied up with the SMS GupShup to create a mobile blog called Straight, where fans and audiences can become members, free of cost, and actually interact with the stars of the film.
There are already 18,000 plus membership in the community. Straight stars Gul Panag and Vinay Pathak.
“Joining this Group is so simple. All one needs to do is to sms JOIN Straight to 567678 through their mobile phones. This single SMS will ensure their continued participation in the community,” said Panag.
Through this mobile community, fans can subscribe to receive film updates, including messages directly from Gul and Vinay. They can ask questions, submit suggestions and send wishes to their stars as well as discuss and debate with other fans. Fans can also participate in quizzes, contests, games and win interesting prizes including dates with their favorite stars.
A video that can be downloaded on mobiles was also unveiled by Pathak.. The video is intended to arouse curiosity about the film.
