MUMBAI: Studio 18 will release Ram Gopal Varma’s forthcoming film Rann in the US, UK and UAE.
The film, which stars Amitabh Bachchan with Paresh Rawal, Riteish Deshmukh, Rajat Kapoor, Mohnish Bahl among others. Bachchan plays a media baron whose channel is sinking with the rapid emergence of a rival channel that creates sensationalized news.
Studio 18 senior vice president international Hemant Bhardwaj, “We are elated that leading producers like Madhu Mantena and Vipul Shah are entrusting the overseas release of their films to us, thereby endorsing the strength of our marketing and distribution network. With Rann, we hope to further strengthen the relationship with Madhu that started with the release of Ghajini in India." Rann is slated to release on 29 January.
